First of all i want to thank Sha3teely for his interesting post .
These are some projects that I have designed..(well my colleagues and I to be politically correct)I have these pictures on my p.c...Sorry they are a bit old..taken before the buildings were finished ..These are examples of how we used coloured stone and/or glass.I don't mean to imply that this is better or worse than the buildng that sha3teeli mentioned in his post http://sha3teely.blogspot.com/2005/12/blog-post.html but you know..different people different tastes....I would like to see what you think of these designs..I will try and get newer pictures and post them later.
First building is a villa and second an apartment building ..an example of using yellow stone..when we started using it ,it was a novelty now..I am sort of fed up with it..white remains the classic color that always looks good.

Damn i cant remember where is that first picture ......is it at " Al-Korsi " area ?? near the mo5abarat .... i remember seeing it alot of times !!! i find it nice
Cheerz!
Yes actually in the Korsi area..it is finished now so looks better ..thanks .
I thought it was the one near my house behind the orthodox club too :)
Anyways NICE :)
It seems I have to go check out the villa you nas and nader mentioned if it is this similar..thanks again
Finally I saw your post :) sorry for taking me this time.. anyway to tell you the truth I can't judge on unfinished building. Because I believe that the final touches can make allot of deference. So perhaps I should visit the sites of the first two building.
Now am going to jump into the commercial building you’ve designs... And I see a bold design using a huge area of glass but yet it is balanced by two stone masses. I like the simplicity of the design, and the balanced grid. And I think your work excel by adding few details which makes your design standout, such as the top edge of the glass mass.
Am a bit concerned about the advertisements and signs… the way it is handled on the right is better than the one placed on left. I hope you will be able to control this issue cuz it might damage the purity of your design.
Also I like the trace of the structure on the façade. The relation between solid and void and the contrast between them… the hierarchy of proportions and the use of materials, reminds me of the great architect Richard Mayer…
Great work, and defiantly you are going to make a landmark in Amman architecture.
