Reflections
AT ebb time I wrote a few lines upon the shore..and gave them all my heart and all my soul..at tide time I returned to read what I had inscribed and found my ignorance upon the shore.."jubran khalil"

:: An indoor Friday!

It was a cold and rainy friday, spring was put on hold for the weekend,and the intended Jerash trip was delayed.All the same since we had tons of packing to do.My problem is that our new flat is not ready yet,while the one we're living in is already rented out to another family,who will be moving in, in 4 days.By Tuesday,our nomadic trip will start,roaming the earth for food and shelter.We will be staying in a temporary empty apartment ,answering the invitations of whoever has a better lunch offer!Till when?I can not tell,since who knows how much time the new apartment will need to be fit for human accomodation.We have been living in boxes for around a month now.We started packing early and I insisted we do it ourselves ,without the help of a moving company,since there are a million things I have to sort,and a million things to give away and a million things to get rid of.Food,books,cds,pictures,toys,clothes everything's in boxes and waits to be moved,some to the new apartment,and some to the temporary one.There's lighting fixtures to be removed,huge cupboards to be disassembled,photo frames to be unmounted and a whole life to be packed away.We are both swamped with work and don't know when we can take a few days off.Nevertheless,I'm pretty excited.At last we're having our own place,(you can read about this here),and new beginnings are always refreshing.Wish us luck!

Why be like nomads? I know this nice hotel in Aqaba where you can go and stay until the apartment is ready. I'll talk to the owners,...pretty nice people and I am sure they can get you a good deal.

I feel your pain!

I'm still living out of boxes, but hoping it will come to an end soon. I don't envy you doing it with kids, though! May God give you strength and patience, and may he spur the workers to get the house done FAST!
