If Arab, then maybe you could take some Yemenies to Mecca mall, that would be very unusual to them as family to go to a mall.
if we are talking about Western family then you should find a cool family in Na3our where this western family could stay for a week or so with them.
The best would be to stay with Beduin family in wadi rum were Beduin women would teach the western one how to cook Arabic bread and the man would teach how to ride a camel.
Then boys would tech western boys how to play with Eagles instead of PS2.
if you ignore my first paragraph you would understand that i'm serious about it.

said:I've been thinking about your post this morning, and what comes to mind is a Biblical History tour. So much of what is described in the Bible happened here. I think it's hard for kids raised in the US to imagine what it was really like for Moses wandering in the desert for forty years (Wadi Rum and around), Moses looking over to Palestine (Mt. Nebo), where the Angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon (Jilead), where Ruth was from (Moab/ Madaba), where famous battles were fought (Amman), where God called Elijah (Ajloun area), where Jesus was baptised, and where he preached and healed people (Jerash, Om Qais, etc.). I think there are a lot of people who wouldn't be comfortable taking their kids to Palestine, but there's no reason not to bring kids here and there is so much that they could learn.
On the other hand, I really wouldn't recommend it for people with young children (under 8 or 10 years old, perhaps), unless they went straight to a resort and stayed there for most of the time. I say that because Jordan is not "stroller friendly" and there are no seat belts to attach your car seats in a taxi. Those are things that would probably drive an American mother nuts.
Good luck on your project! :)

said:Hi dear,
The best place to go to is the Baptism site where everyone will enjoy. We were there just this Saturday, it's marvelous! The girls really enjoyed it.
Ofcourse Dead Sea and Petra are two beautiful areas for the families.
Enjoy!

Okay, well there are of course the usual famous attractions, like Jerash city with all its activities, which you can spend a whole day in, and if you can come to Jerash during the festival time it would be awesome!
also there is petra city, which would make a great trip, from and to and you can also spend a whole day, days even exploring Petra and its magnificent ruins.
You can also on your way to petra visit the baptisim site, and while you're in that area, you can also always check out the red sea, the lowest point on earth, maybe spend a day there, relaxing and making use of the therapeutic characteristics of the water and the mud and salts.
then there's of course the beautiful Wadi Rum, you can go camping there for a night and enjoy the breathtaking view, especially at sunset.
:)
